Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), Reinvestment Fund, and the Fiscal Hub continue to monitor information on COVID-19/coronavirus.

We are focused on quality care for all participants and ensuring organizational preparedness, including our employee’s health and wellness. We are continuing to provide services to our clients and are ensuring extra preventive and precautionary measures are in place based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health.

The Fiscal Hub helps child care owners and directors improve their business management practices and financial operations through resources, technical assistance, and policy advancement.

About the Fiscal Hub


Developed in 2017, the Early Childhood Education Fiscal Hub (Fiscal Hub) focuses on improving the financial stability of child care providers. Partners include Public Health Management Corporation, Reinvestment Fund, CoMetrics, Children’s Village, and Public Citizens for Children and Youth.

Eligibility


Eligible owners/directors must:

  • operate a child care center that has been open since 2016.
  • have at least one location in Philadelphia, PA.
  • all child care centers if multi-sited; however, there is limited availability for family and group providers.

Benefits of Participating


By participating, owners/directors will be able to:

  • meet Keystone STARS 3 and 4 Performance Standards (LM.3.4.7 and LM.3.4.11). Learn more how Fiscal Hub meets STARS standards
  • begin to understand how making data-driven decisions can affect their bottom line while improving their quality,
  • understand their cost of care by age level,
  • learn how to organize their financial data to save time and money,
  • understand how their business is doing in comparison to others.

In addition, owners/directors will receive:

  • a $150 gift card,
  • free access to an online tool to clearly see their financial data, identify areas of risk, and see how their performance compares to peers,
  • technical assistance support.

How to Participate


If you are interested in joining the Fiscal Hub, start now!

  • Complete a short survey (8 to 10 minutes) that is designed to understand the business practices and financial needs of child care providers in Philadelphia. Your responses will help develop technical assistance, training, and resources responsive to those needs. Your individual answers to this survey are confidential and will not be shared publicly.
  • If you meet eligibility requirements, you will receive an email from the Fiscal Hub team on how to complete the remaining parts of the surveys.
