Expanding Horizons: UCP of Central Florida’s New Campus in Osceola County

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Central Florida is creating a transformative new home for its Osceola campus in downtown Kissimmee.

This project will significantly expand access to high-quality, inclusive education and pediatric therapy services for children and those with disabilities and developmental delays, while serving predominantly low-income and Latinx families.

The $30.3 million project will result in a newly constructed 37,689-square-foot facility located at Route 192 and Oak Street. Designed to foster an inclusive environment, the new campus will offer:

  • A K–5 inclusive charter school
  • An outpatient therapy clinic offering physical, occupational, and speech therapies
  • An early childhood education program for children from six weeks through Pre-K
  • Before- and after-school care as well as inclusive summer camps

The facility will feature modern amenities including new classrooms, a cafeteria, two playgrounds, and dedicated therapy gyms, providing a vibrant and supportive space where children of all abilities can learn, grow, and thrive.

This investment will allow UCP to increase its enrollment capacity from 330 to 430 students, addressing a critical shortage of inclusive education and therapy services in the region. The need for these services is particularly acute in Osceola County, where families face barriers to accessing high-quality, specialized care. By expanding its footprint, UCP of Central Florida is taking a major step toward closing those gaps and ensuring that more children can reach their full potential.

The campus’s location in a designated low-income and medically underserved area further underscores the project’s significance. It is a beacon of opportunity for families who have historically been underserved by traditional educational and healthcare systems. With strong support from the Osceola County School Board, the City of Kissimmee, community members, and generous donors, the project has garnered widespread enthusiasm.

The new campus replaces an aging, two-story facility with limited classrooms and therapy space, enabling UCP to expand its reach and quality of care. The custom-built, one-story building will add 11 new classrooms, two physical therapy gyms, and a full-service cafeteria to provide fresh meals onsite. The project also integrates energy-efficient design principles and sustainable building materials in alignment with community-focused development goals.
