Support Available
The struggle for childcare providers to remain open, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, although overwhelming at times has given birth to a new opportunity: access to critical support that providers need to reposition their businesses for success. The Peer Mentoring program is available for Family, Group and Center-based providers across Philadelphia. Groups and individuals allows individuals to work alongside of an early childhood education (ECE) coach on an array of programming topics. Support is available in two focus areas – Programming and Operational.
The Peer Mentoring program is very flexible in allowing participants to build their own model of individualized support. As a provider, you can choose between one-on-one mentoring and cohort-based networking. The cohort track will offer the option to connect with similar provider types, work with providers in the same neighborhood, or connect with providers who primarily serve dual language learners. A knowledge sharing platform will be developed so that providers can share their successes and challenges.
Organizations who are interested can complete a survey to connect with an ECE consultant and with other providers to build and be part of a system of support together.
