What attracted you to Reinvestment Fund for a summer internship?
Three things attracted me to Reinvestment Fund. The first thing that attracted me was the opportunity to rekindle my love of maps and work with them on a constant basis. The second thing was the ability to pick up new skills including using SQL programming language, GIS coding, and blogging. The third thing was the opportunity to work with an organization that employs data in a way that it helps to create positive change in communities across the country.
What are some of the things you will be working on for Reinvestment Fund this summer? What do you hope to learn from your internship here?
Some of my responsibilities this summer include evaluating the quality and usefulness of prospective datasets, working with the Data and Development Team to test new site features as well as data and report updates, and contribute ideas and articles to the PolicyMap blog. I hope learn about how PolicyMap’s products provide powerful tools for its thousands of users.
