Where do you go to school and what are you studying towards?
I am currently a Senior at La Salle University studying Finance and Accounting as I work toward my goal of working in the Real Estate Development industry.

What attracted you to The Reinvestment Fund for a summer internship?
The significant impact that they are making in the community and process of making that possible.

What are some of the things you will be working on for Reinvestment Fund during your internship? What do you hope to learn from your internship here?
I would like to learn more about non-profit accounting and how the company goes about keeping everything aligned as they prepare and go through their yearly audit.

Share something interesting you have learned about Reinvestment Fund or the industry in your time here.
I have learned that the Reinvestment Fund implements a New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) program that plays a large part in the impact they make on the community. Essentially the NMTC program allows large financial institutions to receive tax credits for loaning large loans to low income development organizations. I think this program is really interesting and it’s very exciting to see the impact that it has made as I have utilized one of the projects that the program helped fund for example, the Fresh Grocer Supermarket at La Salle.
