Yonina Gray is a Chicago native with over a decade of experience building catalytic relationships with communities, governments, institutions and everything in between. Ms. Gray is passionate about empowering communities and elevating their quality of life through strategic community development and institutional change management. Formerly the director of business development, she helped put Reinvestment Fund’s boots on the ground in the southeast when it officially entered the Atlanta market in 2016 and has since grown the organization’s brand power in that region. In that role, she also helped relaunch the loan fund of ANDP, a nationally recognized affordable housing thought leader.
As Director of External Relations, she drives national business development objectives to establish new market presence and influential relationships that pave the way for corporate growth. She is also responsible for driving our public policy objectives. Ms. Gray joined Reinvestment Fund after a decade as an economic development professional, building strategic partnerships and transformative solutions for a more equitable, sustainable and prosperous Chicago region in the areas of housing, transportation, infrastructure and natural resources. Based in Atlanta, she is energized by opportunities to connect with rural communities and to support HBCUs. Ms. Gray is a board member of the Georgia Social Impact Collaborative and is board chair for Incremental Development Alliance, a national nonprofit that trains small-scale developers with capacity-building resources. She is a 2020 Next City Vanguard. Ms. Gray has a Master of Urban Planning and Policy degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from Emory’s Goizueta Business School.
