Natalie Smith serves as Senior Director of Risk Management at Reinvestment Fund, where she leads enterprise risk, compliance, and governance functions. In this role, she partners across business lines to strengthen risk infrastructure, operationalize regulatory compliance, and embed governance practices that protect the organization’s mission, capital, and data.

Natalie brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of product, regulatory compliance, and technology across CDFIs, financial services, insurance, and higher education. Prior to joining Reinvestment Fund, she operated as an independent consultant, providing executive-level risk and compliance advisory to mission-driven financial institutions – designing ERM frameworks, operationalizing programs across matrixed regulatory functions, and building vendor and third-party risk infrastructure to govern data-sharing and technology partnerships.

Her product and regulatory background positions her to support Reinvestment Fund’s profile as a leading CDFI.
