We all deserve to live in a neighborhood where our families can be healthy, safe, and joyful. Yet, across the country, racism and inequality continue to exclude too many adults and children from the resources they need to thrive.

At Reinvestment Fund, we further our mission by aligning with key community partners and stakeholders who act on the insights, strengths, and aspirations of the communities they serve.

In 2023, Reinvestment Fund invested $178 million across 36 states to meaningfully improve access to good jobs, education, health care, housing, and childcare for people across the United States.

67 food retail and supply chain projects

Nutritious meals are a fundamental building block of a healthy, joyful life. In 2023, we supported 67 food retail and supply chain projects, providing more than 370,000 square feet of retail in or adjacent to communities with limited access to healthy food.

Access to quality and affordable homes is critical to building sustainable, healthy communities. In 2023, we supported 1,418 homes to be constructed, rehabilitated, or preserved—more than 80% of which are affordable to low-income families.

Investing in childcare has been a cornerstone of Reinvestment Fund’s work in Philadelphia for over 25 years. In 2023, we supported 166 early learning providers and two K-12 schools, with capacity to provide high-quality education to 2,872 students.
