Desmond Hudson

Desmond Hudson, an EA since 2013, is the Owner of Hudson Tax Services. Hudson Tax Services is a virtual company that provides individuals with convenient and quality tax prep service. Hudson Tax Services prides itself on being a trusted resource for their clients with the promise to prepare an accurate return. At Hudson Tax Services our motto is “Get your taxes done right, not just for a refund”.  

 For over 20 years, Desmond has worked with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which is an IRS initiative designed to support free tax preparation service for the underserved. Desmond contracts with a large VITA partner located in the City Philadelphia as their Lead Trainer who develops the curriculum used to certify 1000s of volunteers yearly in the VITA tax return preparation process. The curriculum includes ethics training, tax law training, research skills, intake and interview process and tax preparation.  

 Desmond also worked for over 21 years at Reinvestment Fund, Inc, a Community Development Financial Institution, whose mission is to create opportunities for underserved people and places through partnerships. He most recently held the title of Director of Community Engagement and Technical Assistance before leaving to run his tax business full time.  

 Mr. Hudson is a cum laude graduate of Peirce College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and an Associate Degree in Accounting.
