Kahfii King

Program Manager, Healthy Food Financing Initiatives

Kahfii King is a Program Manager for the Healthy Food Financing Initiative at Reinvestment Fund, a national initiative to improve access to healthy food in underserved rural and urban areas, to create and preserve quality jobs, and to revitalize low-income communities.

Prior to the Reinvestment Fund, she was a Project Manager at The Food Trust, supporting the advocacy and implementation of the recapitalized Pennsylvania Fresh Food Financing Initiative (PA FFFI).

Most recently, King worked as a manager on Compass Working Capital’s strategy team, managing the organization’s comprehensive online technical assistance tool for practitioners of the HUD Family Self-Sufficiency Program. Her time at Compass rounded out her passion for community development while simultaneously recognizing and addressing the disparities of the racial and gender wealth gap.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Butler University and a Masters of Public Affairs (MPA) with a concentration in Urban Sustainability from Indiana University-Indianapolis. She is a board member of Philadelphia-based food and land justice nonprofit, Urban Tree Connection.
