Lawrence Smith

Lawrence W. Smith is the Manager for Early Childhood Education in the Programs department. Mr. Smith has strong experience in education at all levels from Pre-K through post-secondary. He most recently worked for the NYC Department of Education as a Pre-K Program Evaluator where he managed the quality assessment, evaluation, and reporting process for over 70 Pre-K programs annually across New York City.

Previously, Mr. Smith worked as a Relationship Manager at United Negro College Fund (UNCF), where he was integral in creating the first Alumni Association for the Gates Millennium Scholarship Program of which he was an inaugural recipient. In this role, he was able to engage with over 6,000 alumni across the country.

Mr. Smith has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Georgia State University. He lives in Atlanta with his wife Jane, and two children Nora and Mylo.
