Reema Fakih

Senior Director, New Markets Tax Credit

Reema Fakih serves as Senior Director, New Markets on Reinvestment Fund’s Lending and Investment team. She is responsible for originations and management of various aspects of Reinvestment Fund’s New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program including relationship building, loan structuring of NMTC financings as well as of loans into NMTC transactions where Reinvestment Fund is not providing allocation.

In her role, she works closely with borrowers to develop flexible financing solutions and to assist in maximizing community impact and outcomes, and to manage transaction closings efficiently.

Prior to Reinvestment Fund, Ms. Fakih was Vice President, CDFI and Tax Credit lending at U.S Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC), where she was responsible for lending activities related to tax credit financings as well as to community development financial institutions. Prior to that, she worked at Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC), where as Director of PCDC’s NMTC program, she was responsible for business development, loan underwriting and closings of PCDC’s New Markets activities, as well as related loans financing to health care organizations. Ms. Fakih has also held positions in lending originations and asset management at Merrill Lynch Community Development Company and Nonprofit Finance Fund, a national CDFI, and brings extensive experience in lending to operating businesses—primarily nonprofit community-based organizations, and community development financial institutions (CDFIs).

Ms. Fakih received her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Finance, Accounting and Commerce from the University of Mumbai and her Master of Public Administration from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University.
