Reinvestment Fund welcomes Kareem Thomas as new Managing Director of Credit

Philadelphia, May 25, 2021 — Reinvestment Fund announced Kareem Thomas as its new Managing Director of Credit. In this role, Kareem leads all credit review and approval functions for Reinvestment Fund’s lending and investing, and plays a critical part in helping advance the organization’s mission.

Kareem Thomas joins Reinvestment Fund as is its new Managing Director of Credit.

Prior to this role, Kareem served as an Executive Consultant for middle market size companies and nonprofits, where he provided strategic solutions in the areas of risk, human capital, operational effectiveness, and balance sheet management.

“Kareem’s proven success in improving financial services and credit management, as well as driving mission alignment will be an asset for Reinvestment Fund,” said Nancy Wagner-Hislip, Chief Investment Officer at Reinvestment Fund. “We are delighted to have Kareem as part of our team and look forward to the strategic expertise and collaborative approach he brings to leading our credit operations.”

Kareem previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of American Reading Company, a for-profit literacy solutions company, and led Small Business Banking, Commercial Lending, Portfolio Management, and Credit Underwriting regions across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware for Wells Fargo, Citizens Bank, and Citi.

Kareem is also passionate about civic engagement and serves on the Board of the Urban Affairs Coalition, Self, Inc, and Influencing Action Movement. He is a past board member of OIC Philadelphia, American Red Cross, People’s Emergency Center, and the Mastery Charter School Foundation.
