Camille Desierto

2022-24 Jeremy Nowak Fellow

Camille Desierto is the 2022-2024 Jeremy Nowak Fellow at Reinvestment Fund. She is a strong believer that uplifting the voices of marginalized communities is necessary to humanize data and inform impactful research and policy. Camille works closely with Policy Solutions on various projects related to housing and real estate markets, mortgage lending practices, and small to mid-sized cities. During her Fellowship, she learned Structured Query Language (SQL) and ArcGIS, which enables her to make meaningful contributions to the team’s quantitative and qualitative research.

Previously, Ms. Desierto graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Certification in Spanish, and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice after completing the department’s 4+1 Accelerated Program. Her research involved the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community in relation to immigration and crime, intergenerational Filipinx-American experiences, and hate and extremism during the COVID-19 pandemic.
