Isabel Andrews

Risk and Compliance Director

Isabel Andrews (she/her) is the Risk & Compliance Director at Reinvestment Fund. In this role, she is responsible for identifying, planning, and leading the implementation and execution of internal initiatives associated with the organization’s strategic objective of creating a sustainable risk and compliance program.

Ms. Andrews brings nearly a decade worth of experience, working at big tech and in the Community Development Finance Industry (CDFI) industry in a similar capacity, including strategizing, prioritizing, and executing key projects and initiatives for risk and compliance functions. Most recently, she managed multiple initiatives at Meta, including legal document and data management, dashboard insights, improving workflows while eliminating redundancy, and the establishment and testing of new tools and product functions. She also led a global compliance program assessment, regulatory inquiries, and crisis management. She also supported the development and implementation of a Legal Policy Governance committee, along with updates to major company policies such as the Code of Conduct.

Prior to that, she worked at Capital Impact Partners, where she closed numerous loans supporting underserved communities and was a paralegal for larger New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) and corporate loan transactions, in addition to handling asset management, developing KYC processes, and serving as Assistant Corporate Secretary.

In 2021, she participated in an 8-week course with the London School of Economics and Political Science to enhance her knowledge of the regulatory compliance landscape. In 2016, she completed the Young Professionals Leadership Program with the Leadership Center for Excellence (LCE), a non-profit organization that provides a variety of personal and professional development opportunities to enlighten, inspire and connect leaders through community building and leadership development. She is an active volunteer in the Washington, D.C., community and supports civil rights and social justice advocacy.

Ms. Andrews holds a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language – Spanish from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is bilingual and in her spare time enjoys traveling to Latin America.
