Jeff Hebert joins Reinvestment Fund’s Policy Advisory Board

Philadelphia, PA, June 21—Reinvestment Fund announced the appointment of Jeff Hebert, Partner at HR&A Advisors to its Policy Advisory Board. The Policy Advisory Board provides strategic direction to Reinvestment Fund’s policy research and analytical efforts. It also reviews Reinvestment Fund’s research methods and products.

Mr. Hebert joins several renowned academics and practitioners on the Board. He is a pioneer of resilience planning and community revitalization. Mr. Hebert holds national expertise in the areas of resiliency, redevelopment, equitable and inclusionary growth, and economic development. In his current position he works with cities around the world to develop strategies that mitigate future social, economic, and physical shocks and stresses.

“Reinvestment Fund looks forward to drawing on Mr. Hebert’s expert knowledge on community revitalization issues,” shared Ira Goldstein, President of Policy Solutions at Reinvestment Fund. “He offers valuable experience for our research efforts and will also be great resource for organization-wide endeavors around neighborhood revitalization.”

For nearly a decade, Mr. Hebert served the City of New Orleans in many capacities, including First Deputy Mayor and Executive Director of New Orleans Redevelopment Authority. Some of his most notable accomplishments during this time include New Orleans’ historic riverfront revitalization project, the City’s first climate action plan, the commercial corridor revitalization program, the vacant land disposition program, and the $141 million National Disaster Resilience Competition award.
