Since 2013, Reinvestment Fund’s Policy Solutions team has been tracking the supply, demand, and shortage of childcare in Philadelphia. This analysis, published annually on www.ChildcareMap.org, is basis of our work to support children and families across the region. After ten years of research, we look back on the largest trends and changes that have impacted the city’s early learning sector and offer lessons about where to focus on efforts over the next decade.
Jacob Rosch conducts quantitative and qualitative research at Reinvestment Fund. He leads projects to help philanthropic, government, and private investors design strategies to support the expansion of high-quality child care, build healthy and thriving communities, and improve the lives of residents and families in disadvantaged communities.
