Marci Monaco-Vavrik

Policy Analyst

Marci Monaco-Vavrik is a policy analyst on the Policy Solutions team. In this role, she utilizes her data analysis skills to conduct quantitative and qualitative research projects. She works with clients, including non-profit organizations, private foundations, and city governments, to advance evidence-based policy recommendations, programmatic improvements, and provide technical assistance. Current projects include assessing the impact of local tax assessments and eviction diversion programs, and sources and uses of housing funds in Philadelphia.

Ms. Monaco-Vavrik was the 2020 inaugural Jeremy Nowak Fellow at Reinvestment Fund, a competitive fellowship created in honor of the late founder of Reinvestment Fund, Jeremy Nowak.

Prior to joining Policy Solutions, she graduated summa cum laude from Temple University with a double major in Sociology and Human Development and Community Engagement, and a minor in General Business Studies. During her college career, she won the prestigious Robert K. Merton Award, given to the most outstanding member of the graduating class in the field of sociology, and the Diamond Award, given to an undergraduate student who has demonstrated superior leadership, academic achievement, service to the University, and impact on a community.
