Marci Monaco-Vavrik

Policy Analyst

Marci Monaco-Vavrik is a policy analyst on the Policy Solutions team. In this role, she utilizes SQL, R, and ArcGIS to conduct quantitative and qualitative research. She works with clients, including non-profit organizations, private foundations, and city governments, to advance evidence-based policy recommendations, programmatic improvements, and provide technical assistance. Ms. Monaco-Vavrik’s current projects include a guaranteed income study, an assessment of the impact of property tax reassessments for homeowners, a qualitative evaluation of the Renter’s Access Act, and Market Values Analyses (MVAs) for a variety of places. She is also working to obtain her master’s in Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Monaco-Vavrik was the 2020-2021 inaugural Jeremy Nowak Fellow at Reinvestment Fund, a competitive fellowship created in honor of the late founder of Reinvestment Fund, Jeremy Nowak. Prior to joining Policy Solutions, she graduated summa cum laude from Temple University with a double major in Sociology and Human Development and Community Engagement, and a minor in General Business Studies. During her college career, she won the prestigious Robert K. Merton Award and the Diamond Award.
